How to get an e-mail notification about new Posts in certain Topics?

If you wish to receive an e-mail notification about new posts in certain topics, first you need to bookmark or subscribe to a Topic, then you need to edit the Notification Settings in your Control Panel.

What is the difference between Bookmark and Subscribe?

In case of a subscription whenever a new post is made in an area you have subscribed to (it can be a forum as well), an e-mail will be sent informing you of the new addition.
Bookmarks, much like subscriptions, are topics you have chosen to monitor. However, there are two key differences: 1) only individual topics may be bookmarked, and 2) an e-mail will not be sent to inform you of new posts.

Where to find the Notification Settings?

Click on your login name in the right upper corner and select Control Panel.
Then Navigate to Board Preferences/Edit Notification Options

How to subscribe to a Topic or bookmark a Topic?

Navigate to a topic and click on the ’eye’ icon at the right upper corner to subscribe or on the ’star’ icon to bookmark.

How can I get notifications about new Private Messages?

You can be notified by an e-mail sent to the e-mail address your username is registered to or you may also be informed by a new PM under Notifications. Notifications (bell icon) can be found in the header of the forum page, in the right upper corner next to your username.
By default you do not get an e-mail notification, to change this setting go to the User Control Panel / Board Preferences / Edit notification Options.
